...Dinner Vegan Tacos + Quick Facts

Well for Dinner today I thought id step aside from my daily fruit and eat some yummy Vegan Tacos from Chipotle :) Guacamole, Lettuce, Tomato & Onions. They are rice filled, I squeeze the lemon over them and the perfect flavor is delivered.

A Few Quick Facts:

Rice is rich in carbohydrates, it acts as fuel for the body and aids in normal functioning of the brain.Medical experts say that powdered rice can be applied to cure some forms of skin ailments. In Indian subcontinent, rice water is duly prescribed by ayurvedic practitioners as an effective ointment to cool off inflamed skin surfaces.

Lettuce is low in Sodium, and very low in Saturated Fat and Cholesterol. It is also a good source of Thiamin, Vitamin B6, Iron and Potassium, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Folate and Manganese.

Avocados are rich in monounsaturated fat, which is easily burned for energy. An avocado has more than twice as much potassium as a banana.

Onions are an excellent antioxidant, and they contain anti-allergy, antiviral and antihistamine properties.

Tomatoes are rich in lycopene, flavonoids and other phytochemicals with anticarcinogenic properties Tomatoes are an excellent source of vitamin C (the vitamin C is most concentrated in the jelly-like substance that surrounds the seeds)

Lemon's act as a blood purifier and improve the body’s ability to get rid of toxins.Lemon fruit is excellent in fighting disease that's related to infection.

I drank water with my meal...
Don't forget to keep yourself hydrated especially now that the days are hotter!

I know it would be healthier to prepare my own meals at home, it is actually what I do on a daily but it's ok to go out once in a great while :)
