How To: Banana Mask

Banana Facial Mask for Dry Skin

1/2 ripe and peeled banana (eat the other half)
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon water
2 tablespoons finely powdered oats
1/2 teaspoon sweet almond oil (or other vegetable oil)
1 drop rose oil (optional)

Blend banana in food processor until smooth and mix in remaining ingredients.Apply to clean skin and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water to remove mask.Pat skin dry and apply a moisturizer.

Tip: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight plastic container for up to one day.

Banana Mask for Oily Skin

1 banana, preferably ripe (you can keep ripe bananas in the freezer. Let it thaw before using)
1 tbsp honey
An orange or a lemon
Preparation:

Mix the banana and honey together.
Add a few drops of juice from an orange or a lemon.
Apply to face for 15 minutes before rinsing with a cool washcloth or a steaming warm washcloth.

I like to use a face mask weekly just to wash away the oils on my face built up from the week and the damage from the makeup. My skin tends to pick up lots of oil so this mask helps a great deal. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and is nice when applied because its so soft to the skin. Try this mask out friends, you'll absolutly love it!!

  18. I would have to give you kudos for giving tips on how to save money without sacrificing the quality of the products that you would use on our faces, and it's more beneficial for us that aside from the big savings that we we'll be getting for preparing our own DIY facial masks, the ingredients that you are using are all natural and readily available at home. :) I love the idea of honey in your face since its really good for our skin. Thanks for sharing!
