How To: Treat Under Eye Dark Circles

Don't you just hate it when you wake up in the morning and see those horrible under eye dark circles? You feel tired and older just looking at them. But you can do something about them – using sophisticated, natural ingredients. As with so many other issues to do with our skin, under eye dark circles and puffiness are caused by the aging process. Poor diet and smoking can also play a part.

What can you do about them?
First of all, make sure you have a good diet & drink a lot of water, get enough sleep and are not over -stressed. A good diet and a good sleep pattern will help to repair cell damage and reduce the likelihood of puffiness and under eye dark circles occurring. Stress can undo all the good work of the nutrients in your diet – and of course can badly affect your sleeping patterns. Try some meditation or other relaxation techniques to reduce the effects of stress in your life. It will do your whole system a favour. Make sure you invest in the proper beauty treatments to treat this problem... if you prefer to use a more natural sort of mixture I'm providing a few tips and tricks I use when I feel like stepping away from my eye cream for a short while.

Tips & Tricks:
Close your eyes and cover eyelids with slices of raw potato or cucumber for 15-20 minutes. Wash with warm water and then apply your facial cream.

Rub the area with a powdered Vitamin E capsule and wipe off with a mixture of honey and egg white. This will reduce darkness around the eye.

Apply a paste of turmeric powder with pineapple juice for dark circles under the eyes.

Crush some mint and apply it around the eye.

Put hot and cold clothes alternatively under eyes for 10 minutes. Then apply some almond oil on the dark surface before going to bed.

Soak (caffeinated) tea bags and chill them in the freezer for a few minutes, then place them on your eyes to reduce puffiness.
