How To: Pumpkin Facial Mask

I've got pumpkin on my mind. They are high in vitamins A and C and zinc, this gourd-like squash helps heal and protect the skin from free radicals, all while gently dissolving dead skin cells. The addition of egg helps bind the mask together, nourishing and lifting the skin.

You will see instant results with this mask! After the mixture is removed from the skin your skin is so soft it will be hard not to touch it. The smell is faint but so yummy. I noticed it dries up any imperfections I have over time with continued use and has made my skin appear more radiant! Love this mask :)

Ingredients:
1 cup of pumpkin fresh or can
1 egg
+ a dash of milk or soy milk for extra moisture!

Customize:
If desired, add a splash of milk, to give your skin some moister.
For dry skin, Add a bit of honey, which not only acts as a humectant, but the natural sweetener provides antiseptic properties, too. For oily skin, mix in a splash of apple cider or cranberry juice.

Application:
Apply the mixture on your face. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse off with warm water. I pat it after with a cold face cloth.

HOW TO: Almond Face Mask

Almonds and almond oil have been used for beauty purposes for ages. Being rich in nutrients, especially Vitamins A and E, almond oil improves complexion and soothes skin irritation and inflammation.  An almond face mask is a great way to repair damaged skin.  The natural ingredients that go into a homemade almond face mask rejuvenate the facial skin, making it healthy and glowing. An almond mask can especially prove handy if you have dry skin, and are having a tough time keeping your skin youthful and moisturized.

I tend to use this in the winter when my skin gets a bit tough and I want it to be itself again :) Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 tbsp honey
1 egg yolk
½ tsp almond oil
1 tbsp yogurt

Mix all ingredients and blend well!

Application:
Apply the mask on your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and gently wipe the residue with a damp cloth to reveal a much softer and suppler skin.

How To: Green Tea Fix

Green tea has a lot of antioxidants that benefits the body in many ways and can even be used to treat acne. Its one of the most natural ways to help your skin appear brighter and flawless!! Green tea on your skin will help support elasticity and smooth skin. Some ways to utilize this source are key pointed below. Enjoy!

  • If you already drink tea, switch to green tea. It will work better if you already drink it regularly. After each cup of green tea that you drink, take the tea bag out and cut it open. Empty the contents into a small cup and add a little honey to it to make it into a paste. Make sure your face is clean before you apply the paste. Leave it on for ten minutes and then rinse it off.

  • If you are about to go somewhere and need to look nice and fresh-faced but don't have the time for a full facial, try this. Take a tea bag and run it over super hot water, enough to make it steamy. Squeeze out some of the water (but not all of it) and rub the tea bag all over your face for one or two minutes or until the tea bag has cooled off and isn't steamy anymore.

  • Use green tea on your face early in the morning along with your facial cleanser. To arrive to school or work with a glowing face, add green tea to your cleanser. Run a tea bag over super hot water, cut it open, and empty its contents into a small cup. Take your facial cleanser (a cream cleanser such as Noxzema or Clearasil will work best, since the creamy texture and green tea will bind together better)and spoon about 2 tablespoons (doesn't have to be exact) of the cleanser into the cup and mix it all together with the spoon. It should look like thick white cream with LOTS of green flecks in it. Spread it on your face, leave it on for 5 minutes, go make your bed to pass the time, and then rinse it off.

  • Make a green tea steam facial. Boil some water and then pour it into a large bowl. Take a tea bag, cut it open, and empty the contents into the hot water. Take a towel and place it over your head. Then bend over the bowl, making sure your face isn't very close to the water, but close enough to feel the steam. Stay under for only five minutes.

  • Splash green tea on your face. Prepare really hot green tea and let it cool. When it has cooled down, go to a sink and pour some of the tea from the mug into your hand. Splash it all over your face repeatedly until there's no more tea. Then rinse your face with cool water.

green tea mask
mix 1 Tbsp. powdered green tea, 3 drops of lemon juice and ½ cup warm water. Mix until it makes a paste, and smooth over your face and relax for 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.

HOW TO: STRAWBERRY FACE

These are amazing couldn't be easier skin treatments. Heavenly!

Strawberry Facial Scrub:
Make a mixture of 1 tsp brown sugar and 2 mashed strawberries.
Brown sugar will remove dead cells and strawberries are going
to make your skin baby-soft.

Apply in the way you would any facial scrub rinse after scrub is complete :)

Strawberry Cream Mask:
INGREDIENTS

4 medium-sized ripe strawberries
1 tablespoon fresh heavy cream
1 tablespoon organic honey

Honey–known for centuries as a natural humectant–combined with cream nourishes tired skin and keeps it supple and moist, while the salicylic acid in strawberries cleanses by removing impurities and dead cells.

Smash the strawberries with the back of a fork or puree them in a blender. Add the cream and honey to the puree to form a thick mixture.Apply to the clean face and neck, avoiding the area around the eyes, and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse off, using bottled or spring water and cotton pads.

If you rather buy yourself a bottle of pre-made strawberry facial, i'd suggest: Mario Badescu Strawberry Face Scrub. It's made with real Strawberry seeds that gently buff away flaky skin while natural AHA’s break down dulling build-up to unclog pores and prevent blackheads. It improves skin's overall texture by revealing healthy, glowing skin. BUY

Good Stuff !! This is one of my favorite products as far as a satisfying facial goes.

.....My Thoughts

Website: I browsed the website and it seems that Naturopathica has a lot of interesting products, many that I wish to try. The website is very easily to navigate and understand, simple and clean. There are symbols on every product to show just what sort they are as you may have seen from underneath the photo I posted above, I like that! You can read about the company and get a lot of other information at www.naturopathica.com

Price: $85.00USD

Size: 50ML / 1.7FL OZ
Packaging: The Jar is a dark cobalt blue, transparent. It looks very pretty in the light. The jar clearly displays all information needed. The name, size, directions, contact, Targeted act & much much more! Very clean looking. The lid is black and twists on of course there was a divider between the lid and product when I first received it.

SCENT: Hmm it seems to me like..Twig & Sweet Soy Bean. I love it! It smells very healthy for my skin, very settle scent.

APPLICATION&TEXTURE: The application is simple, apply just a small bit "pea size" to the entire (clean) face. It smooths over the face easily leaving only the softest skin. The texture is not heavy on application actually just the opposite. It is a creamy soy like color and delicate to touch. I enjoy applying this product, I actually look forward to it every morning and night! I did find however using more then the recommended amount left my skin over moisturized in the morning so I continued to only use the recommended amount after that. I am sure over time this cream will show more of what it is truly for, age defense. I have been using it for about a good month or so and find that my makeup does not crease into my skin lines as much as before however to truly have them vanish would take a great deal of time! Ill keep you posted as always :)

ALL&ALL

I love love love it. I feel like after a clean face it keeps in and seals the cleanness and works on improvement to my skin as it does so. Sometimes you can tell when a product is worth your while by the difference it gives or performs on your skin. This Cream defiantly gives well at even first use. I'm sure i'll find myself purchasing another bottle when i'm close to being out of this jar. Very good indeed.

In this package sent to me by the company I was also given 3 samples to try, I plan to post separate reviews on them givin they were all very different as far as my thoughts on them. Until next time friends!

How To: Cranberry Mask

Cranberries aren't just for Thanksgiving, they can be used all year round for a relaxing facial. They can be found easily at almost any food market!! This facial treatment can be expensive at trendy spas, but you can make your own cranberry facial mask at home for just a fraction of the cost. The enzymes in cranberries act as exfoliants and will leave your skin healthy and silky smooth.

I use this when the season starts to get cold and my skin starts to get dry! At night I find it to work best for me, I like to apply firming cream at night right after my mask of choice and this helps my face feel moisture packed and amazingly smooth. It also is an excellent exfoliant for my dry skin. I've tried this out on the weekends early morning and I notice the glow it gives my skin and I just love it. I hope you all enjoy this delightful mask!

Ingredients:
6 Tablespoons Fresh Cranberries
1 yogurt 2% or whole yogurt
1/3 Cup Water
(optional)  pinch of sugar, 1/2 grated apple

Mixture/ Application:
Boil the cranberries with the water for 10 minutes. Mash them up and let them cool. In the meantime, grate the apple (if using) and mix with the cooled cranberries & sugar & yogurt. When mixture is done apply for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water and follow with your moisturizer. Enjoy!

Makeup Vanity Collection&Storage

MAKEUP VANITY SETUP  *old update coming soon!!!

MALM
Occasional table, white

I love seeing everyone's setup and collection! I am going to share with you how my setup looks and the storage pieces only on the top of my vanity.... We will all see the drawers and whats stored on the wall real soon!. I'll be uploading a video within the next week or two to show what's inside!! A video seems easier or else i'd find myself needed to upload a ton of photographs! Look out for the upcoming video friends :)

P.S. I would love to see your setup so if you have one posted please link me below. Thanks Have a lovely Sunday night :)

Lovely glass rose that my mum gave me I put it right on top of my 4 drawer mirror storage :) Thanks mum!
I love the mirror pieces I have on my vanity I think they are stylish and hide within the unexpected all the while looking sleek & classy.
There are random bits and pieces... but some great things hidden within this space.
Oh &&& I love NARS packaging most people hate it but I like the uniqueness of it. The little crystals surrounding are from the gem show I went to a few weeks ago with my sister and some friends. I think they are pretty. One is even shaped like a heart <3 Strobe cream is to the back right hand corner I'm trying to still yet decide if I like this on my skin or not? hmm
MAC Beauty Powders & MSF'S, yes please! I keep them all in safe keeping right on top of my desk in my mirror treasure box so they can  be showcased as they should be lid opened or closed!

.. du do duuu a peek inside the top drawer?
I'm keen on the idea of storage for everyday items to apply such as Cotton pads and Foundation touch up sponges. I placed them in these glass jars found at my nearest bed bath & beyond. I also leave one of my juicy tubes in there because while sitting at my computer I seem to apply it often and these jars are just to the left of my screen :) so I have easy access this way! ;)
I love the packaging and quality of Rock & Republic! ... the collection just grew and grew and ... grew! I hope to get some of the blushers soon as of now I only have shadows and face powders.

As far as foundation... I find myself more willing to try different sort of brands no matter the price. I've been using this Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua SPF 15 foundation for about a month now and I love it. My skin has been dryer due to the chaining seasons but yet more so clear because of the hot days leaving. This is a very sheer foundation yet evens out my skin tone perfectly. It's light weight and makes my skin look smooth and flawless no lines or visible skin imperfections. This always makes it's way to the top of my vanity during the week days.

Oh! Not to forget these firefly jars! I have some of my favorite powders in them. They are at the end of my vanity/desk to the right of my computer.  the lid catches product and protects the product inside them swirling my brush in the lid seems to pick up just enough rather then placing my applicator into a pile of product. I think they look nice. Always looking for new ways to store products!
These beads happen to be the colors of this beauty room :) My starting point!

I love storage that is mirrored this clinique palette is camo next to it very cute! I have on top of my my desk mirror.

I really want a set of sigma brushes but have not got a chance to buy myself a set yet. I plan to get some in the near future but AI'm happy now with the few good brushes I have :) I have a MAC brush belt that they are all in this is wrapped around my vanity hair on the back. I think it a swell place for it.

***Well I think that's it! I have a giant "&" on my desk but other then that it's just my computer :) hehe Hope you like my vanity top! Oh! the giant mirror on the wall is lovely! I don't know how I ever went without it!
