BUY ME

My Thoughts: WOW alright so when it comes to skin products I'm a junkie. I think it's better to prevent then treat problems that may come in the future. I use a wide range of skincare products. I bought this cream online perhaps in January and I've been using it ever since. I love it !! I didn't expect to much out of it well because it's focus is to prevent wrinkles and I'm currently 23. The cream made my skin instantly smoother. It went on nice and easy and sinked into my skin like silk. I only used one pump it gave me the amount of a penny. it covered my entire face and neck :) The scent is non existent. The cream is not like some creams, "thick" !! It applies a very thin layer feeling like you have not put anything on your face at all.

I love to apply this in the morning after my face has been washed and I apply my firming cream. I apply it and it dries and smooths instantly. It makes a nice canvas for my makeup. I notice my foundation and powder even goes on a great deal better. It does not my makeup blotchy or cake looking.

I notice it has helped over time shrink my pores. When the summer comes I tend to get open pores on my nose if you look fairly closely. This summer I don't see them at all. I'm confident that the cream has had a great deal to do with that. I would defiantly recommend this to any friend of mine :)

Spread: Warm Inside

Pulled By:

While thinking of summer I wanted to pull an outfit that would be great for an afternoon out on the town having dinner or drinks with my lover. The makeup I would think of to wear would be a earth tones... browns and creams to smoke out the eyes. I wanted to stay true to the light summer colors but add some warm accents to balance it out.I think I acomplished just that with the spread above. What kind of outfits are on your mind for nights such as these?!

Beauty Rush (Wet - Dry Shadows) Review + giveaway!

I bought these from Victoria's Secret on a random trip to buy some Beauty Rush body spray. The colors instantly caught my eye. Come on thats like hanging candy over a child for a makeup addict ye?! :)My thoughts on them are clear. The formula is very silky, they glides on smooth and blend beautifully. They are good quality for the price. Ive had a lot of friends say they get a lot of fall out with these eye shadows, but I never had that problem. I apply a little at a time and build the color and they work nicely. The Shadows last throughout the day on top of my primer, and are nicely pigmented. I am very fond of them. I plan to go back and grab all colors and stock up!! I know these have been out for some time but I just started to wear them a few weeks ago. They are super cheap and I think these would be perfect for someone new to makeup or anyone who just loves a great eye color :)

NARS Says: Exclusive! Pairing Boogie Nights and Giza creates a striking dark vs. light contrast of rich, metallic raspberry and pale nectar, for two equally sophisticated looks.
Price I found it for!! No Joke --> $15.00

So Guess what!!: I thought I should post a quick blog and let you all know I found NARS cosmetics at TJMAXX !! They sell them for half the price! I couldn't believe it when I saw the sleek black boxes just sitting there on the shelves screaming to me... BUY ME !! Ive been looking at these shades for a while online and just never got them. I placed them in my "basket" online and never seemed to buy them. I'm glad I held out. The colors are all very pigmented and they look great over lip color. They do the job a lipgloss should. Some people don't like the formula of the lip gloss, maybe they think it's a bit thick. I like it because it lasts long :) I think I might end up going there often to see what else they get in :)

Maybelline Dream Mousse Review

On a positive note I tried my best to show you the up side to this product, the packaging... yeee

Product Details

Like the blush, the shadow comes in a cute little glass pot with screw-on lid. In fact, the only difference is the size, with the shadow coming in a slightly smaller pot with .12oz of shadow. Pricing in stores varies, but regular price is typically $6.00-$7.00

What Maybelline says about Dream Mousse Shadow:

-Scientifically advanced mousse formula blends like a dream and wears like a super-smooth powder.
-The air-whipped texture provides luminous, long-lasting color on eyes.
-Glides on smooth and blends easily for seamless color without creasing or fading.

My Thoughts:

Blush
I like the blushers a lot for days where a bit of gold reflex in a blush is appropriate. It gave my cheeks a nice color & had a nice luminous finish. I like the nice whipped texture and found it very easy to apply. I used an blusher application brush to pat on and blend in color to make it look as natural as possible.

Shadows
I expected a similar experience with the shadow. However, from the get-go I had problems. I noticed that it appeared a bit drier than the blush and it was hard to run my finger tip over the shadow to get some on to apply. It sort of sticks to my finger in a clump of mess. The texture of it was far from mousse-like, in my opinion. Trying to apply this evenly and smoothly, even though I do wear a shadow primer, proved to be a difficult task. I really had to work hard to blend it and get a nice smooth finish. I also noticed it does not go on even and is not what a shadow should look like at all. I tried then to still think positive and just use them as a base... no ladies. Don't. Adding to my disappointment was that this shadow really lacks pigmentation. Once I applied it and smoothed it out, the shade was considerably lighter than it appeared in the pot. I tend to go for a smokey look when using brown or taupe shadows, but this certainly wasn't giving me the look I was going for. Now, I have used a lot of cream shadows and know that many are designed to be layered so that they can provide either a subtle or more dramatic look. But I found that layering more on only caused the shadow to crease and create a chalky look.

The wear I got out of Dream Mousse Shadow was less than satisfactory, too. By mid-day it had faded and the creasing had got even worse. Trying to do a touch-up was just too much to deal with. I also noticed that some of the shimmer from this shadow had migrated to my under-eye region. In fact, I noticed when using this my sensitive eyes started itching, most likely due to particles flaking off and getting in my eyes.

Horrid product. I had 15 pots of blushers & shadows, bronzer. I don't use either of them. I use the blushers once in a greeeeeat while... but all in all it was a waste of time and money. Hopefully a new formula will be put into action.

Mint Julep Face Mask

Alright so we all spend a lot of money taking care of our skin i'm sure. It's hard to find products that work and are at good price. This mask is really cheap !! Ive been using it for a few months now. I will say that being a sucker for packaging ummm... the package it comes in is a squeeze tube like most masks but the design is not so pretty. It's also hard to get product out when nearing end due to the thick substance. I depotted mine into a pot. I find it easier that way. The smell is divine. I like mint smells more like winter mint gum smelling to me :) It cools my face when applied and is pleasant while wearing due to the refreshing sense it gives the skin. The mask I leave on for 20 - 25 minutes I like to let mine sit for a wee bit. When washing off the skin I use warm water then a cool cloth to pat face afterwards. It is a bit tough to wash off the face because its so think but I don't mind it at all. Mint Julep leaves my skin feeling smooth and refreshed. All in all I love this mask and think it's great for the price !! I would definitely suggest it to a friend and I will continue to keep it in my skincare collection :)

Good day to you !!

p.s Always remember to be careful with the amount of times you use a face mask, you can dry out your skin !!

Inspirational Shades

Everyday I run, it's important to keep your body active for a number of reasons, during my run yesterday I noticed other things due to my mind for once staying silent. The sun was about to go down it was 7:oo or so. The flowers were bloomed at their prettiest shades !!

I had to stop and take a picture for you guys. I tend to get makeup look ideas from youtube or magazines but now it's more from photographs I see random places and now I have some of my own. Soon I'll be posting up a summer flower series based off the inspirations of well.. you know :)

I'm going to post these looks and products I used here on my blog soon (watch out for them !!), would love to know what you guys think. What kind of flowers would you suggest, what do you want to see?!

Review: Clinique Moisture Surge

Price: $50 Macy's for a 1.7 oz jar
Use: A lightweight face moisturizer; doubles as a moisturizing mask

Clinque:
Clinique claims that Moisture Surge maintains the natural balance of moisture in skin during environmental shifts, thanks to ingredients like sorbitol, trehalose and glycerin that bind extremely well to water. While in a proper state of moisture balance, skin becomes more receptive to beneficial ingredients and also stays in its optimal repair mode all day long.

My thoughts on this product:
I loveeeeeee it. Im very picky when it comes to the products I use on my face. I use all sorts of different creams on my face all day and night long and I find it hard to find beauty creams that are not going to harm my skin in some way as in breakouts or drying my skin. Ive never had these problems with this cream. It leaves my skin nice and soft and I dont feel the need to re apply until afternoon hours.Using Moisture Surge I definitely feel that my skin is properly moisturized. In the past, with other lightweight moisturizers, my skin starts to tighten up by midday. That hasn’t happened with Moisture Surge. Plus, it doesn’t break me out rapid temperature and humidity swings wreak havoc on skin. I give it a 10/10 I will use this product and dont plan on changing to another until its taken off the market.

LOLA Sand & Sun Bronzer

A BIT ABOUT "LOLA"
The name “Lola” was chosen as the perfect embodiment of all that is confident,
sexy, mysterious and daring in women. The name symbolizes the empowerment of women through beauty. “There is a little Lola in every woman” and she always gets what she wants! Its based out of France how awesome is that!? :o !!

MY TAKE ON LOLA BRONZER:
The two colors in Lola Sand & Sun Bronzer let you decide just how bronze you want to be. Shimmer is very light (which can be good or bad depending on what you want), but the color goes on strong so you won't need more than a few swipes. I found this bronzer does not make me orange like some bronzers do thats enough to love it !! The best part? The product lasts all day so your tan won't go down with the sun. I love this product I rate it a 10 out of 10. Ill be taking this bronzer into the winter days with me :) I love it !!

Night Out

Pulled By:RenayShanel

My lover and I have a pretty big week next week so when I look for something to wear for a night event I want it to be perfect :) I like the idea always of dresses and heels, I mean it's one way to never go wrong. I wanted to ground the lipstick recently released from MAC "viva la gaga" I think the dress does a great job of it. The simple detail of it makes it classy but does not forget to give you that sexy edge your guy will sure to notice.

When I go out I like to carry only a small amount of stuff. Credit cards, cosmetics for touch ups, and my cell phone of course. I don't need a large bag as I would for work or day time events. I like to carry a satchel for better use. Plus it show cases nicely against the garment you choose :)

I cant wait till my big week with him this will be one of many outfits but hey at least I got one night covered hehe

p.s I have yet to pick my heels for this... hmm so many decisions.

Creating Summer

Pulled By:

I have a bad habit of shopping and wanting everything I see and then coming home to see that what I have put together is just not what I wanted at all.. It's like the look I wanted to go for is slightly off. I found a website that allows you to pull an outfit and add whatever it is you want to it. It's divine !! I pulled this just the other day and printed it out, I did some research online and plan to find a similar outfit. I think it came together in a beautiful way and the colors for me are just perfect. I adore dresses and seems like thats all I really wear for summer days. What kind of outfits have you pulled?! What are your favorite summer time colors for 2010!?

Colour Supplements

I think makeup from lush is a true delight...
I love the products so much and when I got a chance to try this I was expecting only good things from it !! The supplements are all made without mineral oil (great news). Lush has used rice bran and soya oils to nourish the skin. The leading ingredient is Fresh Rose Petal infusion, fantastic !! I mix it with my moisturizer "Dramatic Firming Cream" to make a tinted moisturizer. It can also be used as a concealer by dabbing it on blemishes, It gives me the coverage I need & so far i've been using it for a while and I have not got any break outs from it.

4 shades:
Dark Pink is the darkest color for people with a pink skin.

Light Pink(The one I selected)is one of the lightest supplements. It can be blended with any of the others to create the right tint for you. This one is suited to people with pale or pink complexions

Light yellow If you have a porcelain complexion this is the one for you.
Has everyone else tried this!? What do you think about it...

Dark Yellow is a natural rose petal base with a darker shade for olive or yellow skins

LUSH - Love Lettuce Mask

Site Says: Love Lettuce is a facial scrub and a mudpack that gives skin a fantastic glow. Almond oil, lavender oil and rödalgele softens, exfoliates almond shells and Fuller's earth clay magically conjure away the impurities

I say: I had used a sample of this mask a few months back and loved it, but never got around to purchasing some. Today I went for a little shopping and found myself in that's right LUSH!! Ive used it already tonight along with my shower. Since it contains no preservatives, it must be refrigerated and has the shelf life of about a month. It smells a little "vegetable-y", but fresh. It's very exfoliating. When using it, I apply a generous layer to my whole face, avoiding my eye area.I left it on for 20 minutes, I rinsed with warm water lightly working the mask into my skin in circular motions to allow the almond shell bits to exfoliate my skin. When the mask was rinsed off, my skin felt moisturized, smooth, and sooooo soft. I'll definitely be buying this product in the future !!
